First time visiting your blog and I just had say that your story had me on the edge of my seat. How brave of you. I wonder how I would react in a similar situation. I never want to find out.

Wow Jenn, you had me sobbing reading this. I too, think I would just act and not think about anything else but saving a life if I could. You are brave and courageous and the way you wrote this made me feel as if I were there. You must carry that memory every day and it must be difficult, but at the same time a constant reminder of the total fragility of life. Thank you for sharing this story. Wow.

Jenn – babe you are amazing. No one would have faulted you for not trying CPR on that young man. But you did, without question, you did. And it is a true testament to your character and integrity. I am so sorry for the families of the men who died, for you and the other people who witnessed it and tried to help. You who will never really be more than a blink away from the memory. I am really proud of you. You are strong and amazing and Bil and Vista are very lucky. I am also really proud to have you for a friend.

Jenn,
In an era of “it’s all about me”, you did what not many people would have done. That takes a special kind of person. I cannot imagine how the images of that night would haunt you. I know that the family of those people would be eternally grateful to you for being “that person.”

I agree with Lu, what a wonderful example you are for Vista.

Thank you for sharing what had to be an incredibly difficult story to write.

Jenn this story is just another example of what an amazing woman you truly are. Not everyone can do what you did. You are a hero. I am sorry these images and experiences still haunt you. I hope that one day the edges will fade but the facts will always remain, that you helped when no one else would. What a great lesson for V. Good samaritans are few and far between anymore.
